Automatic management of the plant

All the mechanic and hydraulic elements of the plant are controlled by a powerful Windows software. The program supplies both, automatic control of the entire plant and the possibility to set manually all functions of the components skipping the automatism. In the case of abnormal working conditions all operations can be done directly bypassing the software and using an electric panel located closed to the plant. The plant’s regular working conditions are checked by the software and printed out in regular time intervals

Monitoring on-line

The computerized system provides information about the state of the mechanical and hydraulic components every 2 seconds. These information are displayed on the screen using an easy to read synoptic representation of the plant. In particular the following information are displayed:

• levels of the IMHOFF tanks and the collecting tank
• the state of all the input and output valves
• working conditions of the pumps
• level of radioactivity

In regular time intervals (decided by the user) the system prints out the up mentioned information and stores them in a database.
